Busy Fingers Handwriting Program

(Occupational Therapy Dept.)

A fun and effective handwriting program based on “handwriting without tears” which  incorporates sensorial activities, developmental, and behavioral principles, systematically addressing the handwriting issues of children with difficulty in this important learning task.

Music & Movement for Toddlers (MMT)

(Physical Therapy in coordination with the SPED Dept.)

A school readiness program for toddlers utilizing a developmentally-appropriate curriculum grounded on sound principles of motor development, music therapy, and multiple intelligences.  Preschool routines are creatively interwoven in play activities to progressively introduce toddlers to schooling.

Reading Enrichment for the Differently-Abled (REDA)

(SPED Dept.)

A research-based reading module aimed at direct teaching of phonemic awareness and providing a literature-rich environment for the differently-abled learner.  Using best practices in teaching reading to the mildly disabled, this module is designed to deliver appropriate instruction in reading, while providing substantial opportunities to engage in developmentally-appropriate reading tasks.

Chef Angel Culinary Lessons for Kids

(SPED & Occupational Therapy Dept.)

A unique INCLUSIVE program for children with and without special needs, providing a venue for discovering culinary talent in children as they learn to bake cookies, cupcakes and many other goodies, as well as prepare selected processed food. Functional math and reading skills are also honed as kids measure and read through simple recipes meant to bring out the chefs in them!
